Fr. Jim Sichko, a priest in our Diocese, is from Orange, Texas. The people of Orange have been underwater for days. They are in desperate need of supplies of every kind.
Fr. Jim has set up an Amazon wish list that will send needed items to him between now and September 13th. A truck and trailer is scheduled to leave that day to deliver items directly to the people of Orange. The trailer is currently parked at the Catholic Center, ready to be filled with donations.
We would like for our families to donate to this cause. If you are unable to use Amazon you can bring your donations to the school office and we will deliver them to Lexington. We would like for our families that donate to email the school office with how much you donated or a list of items that you donated. I am attaching the list of needed supplies to this email, and the link to the Amazon account can be found below.
As a People of God, we are called to help those in need, and the people in hurricane ravaged areas are people in desperate need. Any items that you can send would be much appreciated. Thank you, so much, for helping with this vital service for the people of Orange, Texas.
