Principal's Corner
Greetings,
There are many exciting things going on at our school. Mrs. Lally has been having fun with the robotics club. Also, I had an opportunity to watch some of the eighth grade debates and they were fantastic. Of course, the big event was our second graders receiving their First Communion. It is so great to see the anticipation, excitement, and reverence on their faces. Please keep them in your prayers.
This weekend I was thinking about all the times I remind the students how lucky they are to attend a Catholic school like St. John. Then it hit me - I get the privilege to attend Mass
on Tuesday, sneak away from the office
on Thursday for adoration, walk over to the church anytime to pray for struggles with the school, work with students and watch them grow academically and spiritually, work with a great staff, and work with parents who truly care about their children and give so much support to our school. I am the one who is truly lucky and blessed. In closing, thank you for giving us the opportunity to work with your children.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
Here's What's New:

Family Movie Night at the Barn
SIA invites students, parents and siblings in PreSchool through 4th grade for dinner and a movie! April 24th from 6pm to ??? Hot dogs will be served for dinner. There will be popcorn and fire pits for making s'mores. Each family is asked to contribute one item (Homeroom Moms have this information), pack a cooler with drinks for themselves and bring blankets and chairs for watching the movie. Students voted on the movie they wanted to watch last Friday, and Big Hero 6 won by a landslide. Also, please consider cleaning out your closets and bringing along anything you have for the " Double Saints Clothing Drive Fundraiser" They can take all clothing, shoes, linens, purses/bags, accessories, small soft and hard toys. They can really take ANYTHING, because what the clothing drive can't take the Thrift Sale will!! Hope to see everyone there!
Help Needed
Graduation is just around the corner. Are you computer savvy? We are looking for someone to create the 8th grade graduation video. You will be given pictures to put into the video. Then you just need to put them with music in the background. If you can do this or know someone who can, please let the office know.
