The month of May is almost here and the weather is finally warming up. Please encourage your students to stay focused and work hard. There is still a great deal of instructional time left. The teachers still have plenty of academics to cover and review so the students are prepared for next year. Congratulations to Kristin Drummond for finishing third in the state science fair! This was quite an accomplishment. Lastly, thank you to everyone who participated in the Schoolhouse 5K race.

Here's What's New!! 
It’s ordering time for yearbooks!! Order your 2017-2018 yearbook today and preserve all those great St. John memories for you and your child! You won’t want to miss it! You can order online at ybpay.lifetouch.com with ID code 1925018, or send a check or cash into the office along with the order form that was sent home in your child’s office folder. Only $25 if you order before June 1! Yearbooks will be distributed at orientation for the 2018-2019 school year. There will be yearbooks available to purchase at that time if you forget to preorder, but the price goes up to $28 after June 1, so save yourself some money and put in your order now!
Bus Driver Needed
This is a very important program for our school and Lexington Catholic. Please spread the word to all your friends who have a valid CDL license.If the sound of children laughing, singing and playing is music to your ears, we’re interested in talking with you. Lexington Catholic High School has an immediate opening for a School Bus Driver with a valid CDL license. The successful candidate will have experience driving a bus as well as working with children, and we’re anxious to talk with anyone who has transported school-aged kids to school in the past. Our Bus Drivers are an essential part in our educational system, and we value their contributions. We offer excellent opportunities and a competitive wage to the right individual. Please join us for a Diocesan wide anti-bullying rally. All middle school students and their parents are invited to attend. There will be student and adult testimonials, a DJ, The Lexington Catholic Percussion Ensemble will perform, singing artist Jessie Powell will perform, and much more! Light refreshments will be served. Let’s all join together to put an end to bullying in our schools! Lexington Catholic Youth Football Camp

Information Meeting and Uniform Fitting Wednesday, May 2nd, 6:00pm Lexington Catholic High School Cafeteria Meeting will cover details regarding the season. Girls will be fitted for their cheerleading uniforms. Team Fee for NEW members $200 Team Fee for RETURNING members $75 (with additional fees for replacement uniform pieces) Registration form and fee should be turned in at the meeting. Important Info: Practices will be on Monday evenings overlapping the LC Flag Football practices, on the LC football field. The season will run approximately 10 weeks and begins in August. Cheerleaders will learn sidelines and time out cheers as well as basic jumps, motions and stunting. Cheerleaders will perform at several LC Football events and will cheer sidelines for a Varsity Football Game! For more information contact Leslie Hinkle [email protected]

Grids set up
Tonight we will be meeting at Royal Springs Park to obtain nearly 30 grid pieces and transport them to Cardome. Help is needed to get these grids into the truck and then set up at Cardome. The more help we can receive the faster it will go!. Join us tpnight if you can at Royal Springs Park across from Local Feed or contact Miss Barb at [email protected] for more info. Thank you!!!

Art work pick up
This year we are trying something new! May 4th at 2-7pm and May 5th from 9am-1pm will be student art pick up days. Please come and pick up your students art work at Cardome. Thank you!
Clubs and Classes
For the month of May there will be no clubs or classes. Please look for information on these in the new school year!

Art Show Art Work Pick up
This year we are going to try something new! Instead of all the art work being brought back to school, we are designating Friday and Saturday as student art work pick up days. Please stop by on Friday, May 4th from 2pm-7pm for art work pick up and then again from 9 am-1pm Saturday, May 5th for art work pick up. Work not picked up will be returned to students at school.

Guardian Angel Grants

The Guardian Angel Grants were created to honor donor requests to ensure that young men and women with this level of demonstrated need have an opportunity to enjoy the Lexington Catholic educational experience.
