St. John Catholic School Notes From the Office: Monday, August 12th, 2019         Weekly Updates         August 2019         Greetings,   It was great to see everyone at orientation last week. Our grounds are ready, and the teachers have been preparing their rooms and lessons for the new school year. All we are missing is the the students! I am looking forward to a great year. We have some new and exciting changes with our Academic Achievement Program and STREAM education program. St. John School will definitely be a place for academic and spiritual growth! Please remember to have the students here no later than 7:45 am. Classes begin at 7:50 am.   God bless and take care, Dan Mardell         Here's What's New!!         Important Reminders Students need to be in their classroom and ready to begin their day at 7:50. All gates to the parking lot will be closed at 7:50. If your child is tardy (after 7:50) you will need to bring your child to the office to sign them in and then walk them to their classroom.  Do not just drop your child off outside of the classroom. Enter the parking lot between the Mary and Benedict Houses.  Drive slowly and watch for people walking. Exit the parking lot through the double gate area.  This is an exit only during the school year. No left turns on to Main street from Military street.         Cafeteria Volunteers Needed We are in need of volunteers for the cafeteria.  You must have safe environment training and a background check to volunteer in the cafeteria.  Volunteers are needed Monday - Friday from 10:30-1.  If you are willing or able to volunteer on any of those days, please contact the office at [email protected]     Save the Date for September 13th & 14th.  Click here for information on the festival raffle baskets.     Click here to download the lunch menu for August - December 2019.         After School Email Address If you need to contact Janene Barry about after school please email [email protected] For the upcoming school year all after school billing will be automatically deducted from your FACTS account unless you have made prior arrangements.  Please contact the school office at [email protected] with any questions you may have.         If you drink coke you can help our school raise money!  All you need to do is enter the codes, found under the lid or on the box, at www.coke.com.  The easiest way to locate our school is to search ST JOHN, 40324 in the search box.  You can also turn your lids and box codes into the school office.  If you would like to help enter codes, please email the office at [email protected].         Submissions for Notes From the Office If you would like a St. John School or parish event included in the Notes From the Office, or you have pictures you would like to appear in the Notes, please send your submissions to [email protected] no later than Mondays at 9am.
