Great seeing everyone at orientation this past Sunday. I hope that you agree that the teachers did an outstanding job getting their classrooms ready and that the new school is a big, beautiful and inviting space! Please refer to the link for the Parent/Student Handbook for your last minute details, but here are a few key reminders:
1. Traffic for drop off and pick up flows from NORTH to SOUTH.
2. Morning gates open at 7:20 and school starts at 7:50.
3. Afternoon gates open at 2:40 and school dismisses at 2:55. ONE DISMISSAL.
4. Only PS/PK parents/guardians may park and walk their children up to the building entrance as they are required to do so.
5. Please follow the directions of the volunteers and instructions on the signs in the drop off and pick up process.
6. Afterschool pick up and any traffic not during the normal drop off and pick up time may enter from the SOUTH entrance as the gate at the NORTH will be closed during those times. Please park in either the PS Lot or the B1 Lot (see handbook for map of parking lots).
Please have patience these first few days. It may be raining for us while we learn our traffic patterns, so extra precautions are needed. Also, please make sure that the children get a good night's rest tonight as we all have a big day tomorrow!
Peace to you all,
Mr. Mayer

Important Lunch Information for the 2021-2022 School year
School breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the 2021-22 school year. This takes the burden off of families while they continue to recover from the pandemic. We still need our families to apply for free/reducded lunches if applicable, click here. These applications affect receipt of the P-EBT cards the government has been sending out as well as grant money the school recieves from the state.

“The family, is so to speak, the domestic church.” (Lumen Gentium #11)
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Good Shepherd to bring CHRIST IN MY HOME Ministry to SSFJ! Each week, a short video (no more than 10 minutes!) will be sent via email and posted on our SSFJ website. The videos will help you prepare for the following week's Gospel along with practical ideas for building your "domestic church". It is our hope that you will set aside a time to view the video as a family and invite Christ in to your everyday living!
Videos and discussion questions will be emailed out on Sunday afternoons and posted on the SSFJ Facebook Page & the SSFJ Website.
