As I walked through the classrooms this morning, it was so great to see the high level of engagement and learning going on at every grade level. I invite you to visit our classrooms and see what we are doing at St. John School. Last Monday the students had a fantastic time learning about and viewing the eclipse.
I would like to invite everyone who is involved with St. John School to attend a parish-wide convocation on Tuesday, September 5 at 6:30 pm. The meeting will be held at Cardome. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the vision for St. John School and SS. Francis and John Church. This is also a chance to offer your input and solutions.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
Here's What's New!!
Just a reminder that this Friday starts our new Bingo teams. Please arrive at the bingo hall by 5:15 to serve our players. The more pull tab sellers we have the more profit we can make for our school!
Tardy Policy The ten minute organizational period from 7:40 – 7:50 a.m. is a constructive part of the school day. Students must use this time to prepare for the day by putting away coats, backpacks, lunches, etc. Teachers expect students to be seated in their classrooms and ready to begin promptly at 7:50 a.m. Your child is considered tardy after 7:50 and must report to the school office to receive a tardy form. A tardy form must be presented to the teacher upon entering the classroom. After the third tardy (grades 4-8), a student will be given detention for thirty minutes after school is dismissed for the day.
Basketball season is quickly approaching. We need to see how many students want to play this season. If any girl or boy in grades 5
th through 8
th are interested in playing, please email Jason Noffsinger at
[email protected] so he can get an accurate number of players. Please don’t assume that he knows your son or daughter is going to play. If you have any questions, please email or call Jason at 502-316-3352. Thank you! Jason Noffsinger Athletic Director
ALL middle school and high school students are invited. We will have live music, pizza, and games!
Please bring a 2-liter, chips, or dessert to share.
