Kindergarten students learning programming for Hour of Code week.
Thank you to Mr. Blankenship and Mr. Sturgill for helping our 6th grade students with Vex Robots.
The girls basketball team got tickets to the UK girls game.
Principal's Corner
Greetings,
Can you believe at the end of this week we will be half way through the school year? I had the opportunity to watch our 7th and 8th grade basketball teams compete this weekend. The games were exciting!! If you haven't seen our students play, I urge you to get out and support them. Also, our cheerleaders did a great job supporting our teams.
The school has jumped off to a great start participating in "Year of Mercy" activities. First, the student wrote Christmas cards for women in prison (Spanish and English). Next, they collected money for material to build houses in Haiti. The Water Project supported by our Middle School was completed last week in Kenya, and will serve 236 children at a primary school. Lastly, the fifth through eighth graders will be caroling at the Active Day. Way to go St. John students!!!!!!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for making the first semester a fantastic one. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Early Release Friday 12/18 -Dismissal will be at11:15 and there will be no after school
Out of Uniform Day
On Thursday, 12/17, students may have an out of uniform day for a $1 donation that will support our end of the year field day.

Lost and Found
Is your child missing a sweatshirt or coat? The lost and found box in the office is overflowing with items. Please stop in to see if they belong to your child.

Computer Lab Hours
The Computer Lab is open on Mondays from 3-3:30 for students who would like to take AR tests or practice typing.
Used Uniforms
Don't forget to stop by the office to purchase some gently used uniforms. You may also drop off all your old uniforms that don't fit anymore.
