Saturday was a beautiful night for the Georgetown Christmas Parade and St. John School was well represented with a beautiful float. I would like to thank the Squires family and crew for an excellent job decorating the float. Also, thanks to the Blankenship family for the trailer and truck to make this all possible. All the students and parents that came out had a good time. This was a great way to get into the holiday spirit. I also enjoyed seeing many of our school families and parishioners at the Pancake Breakfast with Santa.
All our St. John School basketball teams were in action this weekend. Our middle school teams remain undefeated. The 7
th and 8
th grade boys won on a buzzer beater by Evan MacCallum. Thanks to the coaches of all our teams for the many hours they spend working with our students.
Lastly, there is a little over two weeks left in the quarter. It is very important that the students are here and focused on their work. I would appreciate all your help with this.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
Here's What's New!!
New School Parent Meeting!!!!
Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects have been chosen to develop the master site plan for Cardome and remodel the school. The architects would like to meet with parents on December 6. The meeting will be at 6:30 in the Academy Theater at Cardome. The purpose of this meeting is to get your thoughts and to express your concerns about remodeling buildings two and three for the school. This is
your opportunity to express what you would like to see with the new school and your concerns about the remodel. This is your opportunity to speak directly to the architects. This is an exciting time for the future of St. John School - please come and be a part of it! I hope to see everyone there.

St. John School Christmas Play!! Mark your calendars now! Sunday, December 17th, at 3pm in the Cardome Chapel.
It's just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box. It's time! As they begin to prepare for another season on the Christmas tree, they are greeted by a rather strange and "un-Christmassy" ornament: A Hula-Girl. The Star, Snowman, the Angel and others don't understand what she has to do with Christmas and give her a rather cool reception until another significant figure from the mantelpiece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how they each have significance in God's amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.
A humorous and engaging story with delightful songs and a solid salvation message that will teach children what Jesus' coming was all about and remind kids and congregation alike that Christmas is truly a time to celebrate!
