St. John Families:

MAP testing has concluded for the bulk of the school. Only those students that were absent and missed a test(s) will be taking tests this week,

A BIG THANK YOU for all the generous support of this year’s iGiveCatholic Campaign. We were able to hit just over 60% of our target (or about $5000) when we add in the offline donations! With these funds we will be able to add some items to the intervention classrooms, purchase some additional learning materials, and cover some of the added payroll expenses for the remainder of this year.

We are so blessed as a school to have community support and people willing to give to causes in need! Anyone still wanting to make a donation by check is welcome to make it out to St. John School and mark the memo line with “intervention” or “iGiveCatholic”.

Please be sure to have your students bring in donations this week for any of our helping others this holiday season giving events. Christmas Hampers, Toys for Tots, and Not Alone Pregnancy Center are all worthy causes that need help! All donations can be dropped off at school.

Lastly, thank you to our Christmas Parade volunteers and participants (see the picture below). Unfortunately I was too sick to attend, but I heard that it was a success! Thanks again!

Middle School Youth Group

Next Monday, 12/11, is the Middle School Youth Group Christmas party from 6-8 in the Parish Hall. Please bring a small ($15 or less) wrapped gift for a gift exchange game. Treats and snacks will be provided!

Looking to visit Santa, eat some pancakes and support a great cause? GCHS SCHS DanceBlue would love for you to join us at our Pancake Breakfast! DanceBlue is a fundraiser through the University of Kentucky. All proceeds will go to the Golden Matrix fund to benefit UK Children’s Hospital’s Oncology and Hematology Clinic.

2022-2023 Yearbooks

Snacks and Drinks
