St. Nicholas stopped by the school this morning for a quick visit with some of the kids.
Our 5th - 8th grade students did a wonderful job on their Science Fair projects. The winners will be announced after Mass tomorrow.
The 8th grade students went to Georgetown College to participate in a science lab with Dr. Sheridan.
Principal's Corner
Greetings,
Last Friday, St. John School held its annual science fair for grades five through eight. I would like to thank the Georgetown College students, from the science department, who took time from their busy schedules to judge the projects. Also, I would like to thank the parishioners who helped judge. They were amazed by some of the work of our students. I also heard many positive comments from the parents and parishioners who viewed the projects.
Lastly, I enjoyed visiting with everyone who came to "Breakfast with Santa." The Knights of Columbus and Galvin's did a fantastic job putting this event together for families of the parish and community. As we go through the busy activities of Christmas, please remember to keep Advent and the coming of Jesus a priority!

Here's What's New:
Dress Down Day for a good causeFriday, 12/11, will be an out of uniform day for a $1 donation. The proceeds from this dress down day will be used to purchase materials to build houses in Haiti or for scholarships for children in Haiti. You can donate more if your heart desires.

Just a reminder that the last day to place your Christmas Card orders will be December 9th.

Book Drive for Toys for Tots
The 6th grade class is collecting new books for Toys for Tots. Please send all new book donations to school by December 10th. Students will collect donations from all classrooms.
Lost and Found
Is your child missing a sweatshirt or coat? The lost and found box in the office is overflowing with items. Please stop in to see if they belong to your child.
SJS Basketball Schedule

Computer Lab Hours
The Computer Lab is open on Mondays from 3-3:30 for students who would like to take AR tests or practice typing.
Used Uniforms
Don't forget to stop by the office to purchase some gently used uniforms. You may also drop off all your old uniforms that don't fit anymore.
