Principal's Corner
Advent Greetings,
The Advent season is upon us and there are many activities at St. John School helping us prepare for Christmas. We light the candles of the Advent wreath and start each day with an Advent prayer. Our middle school students are completing a daily advent journal which provides many interesting reflections. I hope you were able to enjoy the Christmas program put on by the Preschool through grade two as much as I did. I am eagerly anticipating the program by our 3rd-8th grade students. I have stopped in several times while they are practicing and from what I see the program should be awesome!
This month students have started a program that focuses on the virtues and saints that exemplify those virtues. The virtue for the month of December is generosity. Hopefully, as you walk around our campus you will see signs, actions, and activities that demonstrate the virtue of generosity. One example, the sixth graders are demonstrating this virtue by collecting books for the " Toys for Tots" give away. Also, the BETA club is giving generously of their time by doing a fall clean-up of our campus.
I would like to all the parents and parishioners for their generous gifts of time, talent, and treasure. We are so fortunate to have a school that not only provides a great education, but is also able to help the children grow in their faith and love of God. Thank you to everyone who helped with the Santa Shop last week. The kids really enjoy shopping for their friends and family.
Thank you for your time and generosity in recycling as well. We purchased 2 picnic tables with the lids that were sent in to be recycled.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
** Change, Change, Change !!! **
We will no longer be using SMART TUITION as our tuition management system. Next year we will be switching to FACTS so that we will be on the same system as the other schools in the diocese. More information will follow within the next two months.

They are red if they are an odd number in their class roster list and green if they are even in their class roster. If you would like to see the preschool thru 2nd grade program, click this link .
