Principal's Corner
Greetings, It is hard to believe March 1 is almost here, and that in three weeks we will be finished with the third quarter. Last week, we completed a temporary calendar of events through May - St. John School is going to be a busy place! However, we must continue to focus on learning about our faith and getting a great education.
I would like to take a minute to thank all the parents for their help and support. A large part of our school success is due to your hard work and dedication. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't see parents on our campus helping in various areas. So thanks to every parent for helping provide a great Catholic education for our children at St. John. Through my tenure, I have found that word of mouth is the best recruiting tool for our school. So please help spread the word about what a great school we have!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
Here's What's New: Open Registration Going On Now Please help spread the word about our amazing school. We are now accepting registration for the upcoming school year from the public. We have yard signs by the main school building if you would like to put one in your yard to help us advertise!
Volunteers Needed We are in need of volunteers from 10:30-1 to help in the cafeteria. Please contact the office if you are able to help.
Recycling We are currently in 12th place in the recycling competition. Please remember to drop off all your counted recycling in our recycling center in front of the 4th grade trailer.
Rice Bowls During Lent our school will participate in CRS Rice Bowl. In the first 40 years, more than $250 million has been given through CRS Rice Bowl to support programs that prevent hunger and poverty around the world. Of that, $62.5 million went to programs in the U.S. through local dioceses and $187.5 million went to CRS programs overseas. Rice bowls should be returned to the school office by March 23rd.
Computer Lab Hours The Computer Lab is open on Mondays from 3-3:30 for students who would like to take AR tests or practice typing.
