Welcome back after an exciting Super Bowl Sunday. Last week there were lots of fun activities during Catholic Schools Week and the students had a great time. Congratulations to Adrianna Brinkley and Cade Blankenship for placing at the Fayette County Science Fair! We are very proud of their hard work and effort.
Please consider joining us for the 2nd annual Ss. Francis & John -St. John School Heart to Heart Dinner/Dance. We will be celebrating Ms. King’s 30 years of dedication to St. John School. Your tickets include appetizers, dinner, drinks, and entertainment. All proceeds go to support St. John Adopt-A-Student Fund. The children are the future of our faith. That is why St. John School and this program are very important to Ss. Francis &John Parish church.
Lastly, as we start open registration this month, please spread the word about the wonderful things happening at our school. Thank you to all our parents and staff who make St. John School such a great place!

Here's What's New!!
Registration for current school families is open now for the 2020-2021 school year! All families should have received an email with registration instructions. If you did not receive the email you can click here to download the instructions. Registration opens up to parishioners on February 10th and to the public on February 18th. Make sure to reserve your spot!

Attention SJS Alumni and Current or Former Students of Ms. King SS. Francis & John Parish and St. John School will be celebrating Ms. Lucy King's thirty years of teaching at St. John School. Ms. King has impacted many lives in our community. We are asking former students and parents to email your memories or simply a thank you to Ms. King for us to compile for her. Introducing St. John School's Video!! Our video is here!! Much thanks to many people for helping to make it happen--students, parents, teachers, and staff all contributed ideas, voices, helping hands, time, and patience to bring this project to fruition! The video was shown at the Catholic Schools Week kick-off mass to an enthusiastic audience and has been making the rounds online and in masses ever since. If you haven't seen it yet, check it out on the school's website homepage or on Facebook, and please share it with friends and family! This is a great way to show off our school to friends and acquaintances who might be interested in joining our St. John family!!!
A Scout is reverent. St. John’s BSA Pack 167 would like to invite ALL Scouts past and present to our annual Scout Sunday Mass, Feb. 9th at 8:30 am. Calling all Packs, Troops, Adventures, Eagles and more, please join us in celebrating scouting in our community. Following mass, please join us for fellowship and donuts in the undercroft, all are welcome! If you interested in joining scouts or volunteering this would a great opportunity to talk with other Scouts and Leaders. All current scouts please wear your class A uniform!
Music Ministry
Children's Choir Come and join the children's choir! Grades 3-8. We will be singing on the first Sunday of the month for the 10:30 a.m. Mass and presenting 2 choir concerts this year. (Date and time TBA) The choir curriculum is based on the Royal School of Church Music Curriculum. Students will be earning certificates for levels of knowledge in reading music and learning to sing. Their program is called Voice for Life. Parents are welcome to attend a choir rehearsal or contact Denise to hear more about this exciting program! Box Tops For Education
Box Tops is changing to fit today's families. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earnings online.
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label. If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.
