Greetings SJS families:

In the event that winter weather impacts the school day, you will be notified via text, social media, and/or local TV stations.  Teachers also send home instructions via email.

Also, please do not forget that the school will be hosting its first OPEN HOUSE of the new year on Sunday, January 29th from 2-4 PM.  This is a great time to invite friends to come see what this school has to offer their children.  Please help us spread the word about the Open House and about what St. John School has done for your child/children.  Word of mouth and personal invites continue to be one of the biggest drivers of enrollment even in this digital age.

The OPEN HOUSE also is the kickoff for Catholic Schools Week.  See the flyer below for the daily details, including a new, week-long service event to raise money to support the Not Alone Pregnancy Center.  SJS is excited to bring back the “Penny War”!  It should help you clean out the spare change in your cars and houses!

Ticket sales for the Cocktails and Kisses Gala on February 18th are ongoing.  See attached flyer for details on how to purchase your ticket(s).  Plan on a fun evening with other adults and support the school at the same time!

We are ready to race again! Last year’s race was absolutely amazing!! Over 900 family, friends, and community members showed their love and support for our boys; and for that, we are forever grateful. Incredibly, we raised over $45,000 to go towards a scholarship fund that we will be announcing more about soon. 

Please join us on Sunday, April 30th at 2pm for the 2nd Annual Dom & Dave Memorial 5k at the Coldstream Park in NW Lexington. We have added a Fun Run this year for kids 10 and under and prize opportunities for the fastest teams. We look forward to seeing everyone again for a fantastic day of running and camaraderie-the perfect way to honor the lives Dom & Dave.

100% of the race proceeds will go to The Dominic Bilotta Memorial Foundation, Inc. which will be used to provide scholarship opportunities in the names of both Dominic and David. 

When you sign up please join the "St. John School team".  There is a prize for the largest team!

You can now order your PE shirts and sweatshirts directly from our uniform supplier.  They will be delivered right to your door.  No more long waits!
