The 6th grade class celebrated Christmas around the world with a lot of great food.
Principal's CornerHappy New Year!
Welcome Back! I trust everyone had a great Christmas break. In December, we started a program that focuses on one virtue a month school wide. This month the virtue is gratitude. The definition of gratitude is seeing everything as a gift from God and being thankful. Here are a few of the things that I am grateful for at St. John School:
1) Being able work in a school where education and God go hand and hand.
2) Great students who work hard and are well-behaved.
3) Fantastic teachers who care about their students.
4) Parents who sacrifice to send their children to St. John, then give countless hours of their time and talent to make our school a better place.
5) Parishioners of SS. Francis & John who support the school with their time, talent, and treasure.
6) Fr.Linh
I look forward to working with everyone to make the second half of the school year a great one. We are truly blessed to have the unique St. John experience for our children and parish!

** Change, Change, Change !!! **We will no longer be using SMART TUITION as our tuition management system. Next year we will be switching to FACTS so that we will be on the same system as the other schools in the diocese. More information will follow within the next two months.Here's What's New:
Important Health Reminders
With cold and flu season upon us we would like to take the time to remind you of our health policy. Our school does have immunocompromised students. Catching a small cold for one of them could mean a major illness. We ask that you do not send your child to school if they have had any of the following in the last 24 hours: fever, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, unidentified rash, pink eye, any infectious disease your doctor has diagnosed or head lice. The students must be out of school for 24 hours following any of these symptoms. Thank you for your help with this matter.
Preschool Fair and Open Houses
We will be participating in the preschool fair at Gano Baptist on January 10th from 10am to 12pm. If you know parents with preschool age children you should encourage them to come. We will also have our first open house on Sunday, January 11th, from 2-4pm. Parents are our best advertisers. If you know anyone with preschool age children invite them to come see how great St. John is!
Box Tops
We received a check for $1,116 from Box Tops! Thank you to everyone who supports this program. Remember you can turn your box tops in any time. Don't hold on to them too long because they do expire.

Save the Date for our 2015 Winter GalaThis years gala is scheduled for January 31st at the Embassy Suites in Lexington. The Gala committee met this past week and are looking for volunteers to coordinate the silent auction. If you or someone you know are interested in helping out, contact the parish office or Gala Committee chair, Ozanna Waltz- Allen at [email protected] , phone (610) 573-4415!Parish Verification Covenants and Stewardship Forms
If you are Catholic, you should have received a letter with the above mentioned forms a few weeks ago. We have only had 37 out of 90 families return the forms so far. Mr. Mardell and Fr. Linh ask that you return these forms as soon as possible. If you have turned in your Stewardship form at church we will get a copy of it. Thank you!AR testing
The computer lab will be open on Monday's from 3-3:30 for students to take AR quizzes
. Kroger Community Rewards Program (NEW)
Earn money for St. John School simply by shopping at Kroger and scanning your Kroger Plus Card. ** This program will replace the former Kroger Gift card fundraising program.** Here is how it works:
1. If you don't already have a Kroger Plus card, simply sign up at the Customer Service desk at Kroger.
2. Log in to : KrogerCommunityRewards.com
3. Create an account and follow steps to enroll in the rewards program using our school's NPO number : 10168
***Your purchases will not count for St. John School until you link your Kroger Plus card***
Used Uniforms
