Notes From the Office: June 10th, 2019

Greetings,

 

I am pleased to announce that we will have a new program at St. John School. The Academic Achievement Program will be headed be Mrs. Erica Bilotta. This curriculum will provide support and enrichment opportunities for our students. Mrs. Bilotta will teach students in small group settings outside the classroom as well as implement guidance within class instruction. She will also act as an academic liaison to ensure effective communication between students, teachers, and parents. In addition, she will design and monitor support plans for our students and collaborate with teachers on specific accommodations and/or modifications utilized within the classroom. There will be more specific details to come as we begin to lay the groundwork for this exciting new program for out school and our students.


We are currently searching to fill the following positions. If you know of anyone interested please have them contact  [email protected].

 

• Art Teacher K – 8
  • This is a part time position (T, W, Th). The pay is $15,000 for the school year.

 

• 3^rd Grade Classroom Teacher – full time

 

• Substitute teachers – The pay is $80 per day.

Shaheen's will also have a POP UP sale at Lexington Catholic on July 16th, 17th & 18th with times to be determined.  They will have our uniforms in stock to purchase at this event.

The weather is heating up. . . . more folks are out and about enjoying the nicer weather. . .  and this can only mean that the St John Cross Country season is right around the corner!!

The first official practice will be Monday, July 29th, at Brooking Park at our normal meeting spot by the big playground.   Coach Mayer and I are looking forward to seeing back all of our returning runners and we are hoping to see a lot of new faces as well.   Give it some thought.  Cross country is a super team sport with a chance to always improve individually.  As Coach Mayer always says. . . .  if you like running, being outside, and having fun, this is the sport for you!  Returning runners.. . . now is the time to start running and building up some miles on those legs.   If you have any questions about anything, please do not hesitate to call or write.  My email is [email protected] and telephone 606-669-1230.   Have great summers and hope to see you on July 29th!   Coach Todd
