Principal's Corner
Greetings,
The eighth grade students with the help of many of their parents treated the staff to a "Thanks for the Memories" luncheon. The theme was Las Vegas. It began with an International buffet with live entertainment. We experienced a great host complete with jokes and magic tricks. Also, we were serenaded by the likes of Billy Joel, Elton John, and Elvis. After dining we all hit the tables for roulette, blackjack, and spoons. It was great to see everyone interacting, laughing, and having so much fun. The eighth graders are such a talented group. It was fun to see their creative juices flowing. On behalf of the staff and myself, I would like to thank the students and parents for such a fantastic afternoon of good food and fun. I would also like to thank all of the volunteers who helped in classrooms, so that teachers could enjoy their time with the 8th graders!
There are many wonderful things happening with our parish and school. I am excited that our debt will be paid in a year or less and there is serious discussions involving future plans for our school and church. We have such a wonderful loving and generous parish. Our school is an integral part of this, as a mission of Ss. Francis and John. Spread the word about all the tremendous things going on at St. John School!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
