There has been a flurry of activity around here as we get ready for another school year. The teachers start Wednesday with a professional development day at the diocese. Some of our teachers also took advantage of professional development opportunities this summer. As I said last week, I am very excited about our talented staff. Seven of our nine homeroom teachers have their Master’s in education and one more has almost completed their Master’s program.
The summer was busy with art and drama camps. Last week, the drama camp ended with a great final performance at Cardome. Cross County is in high gear and they completed in their first meet on Saturday. Sounds like it is about time to start school!
I have been in education for over forty years in many different situations. I have found St. John School to be a unique gem. There are so many things that make this school wonderful and excellent. Please take some time to look at all the blessings we have at our school. This is a very exciting time for our school and parish with many great opportunities ahead. Thank you to everyone who has helped this summer to make our school better!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
P.S. We will be placing new mulch in the playground Tuesday morning at 9AM. We would love it if you could come help out. Many hands make light work!
