Principal's Corner
Greetings,
There are many great things going on at St. John School. The students did a fantastic job on their science fair projects. I enjoyed viewing the projects and talking with some students about their work. Also, I would like to congratulate the sixth grade students for a job well done at the nine o'clock Mass. It is always great to see youth taking part in the Eucharistic celebration. Finally, I would like to thank all the students, staff, and parents for contributions to help a family who was displaced by a house fire. Your generosity was overwhelming!!!! Generosity with your time and treasure is one of the reasons that St. John Catholic School is such a great place.
We truly have many blessings and much to be thankful for at St. John Catholic School. Have a peaceful and Happy Thanksgiving!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell

Thank you from the Blankenship family
It has been very crazy the past few days. And without the help, thoughts, and prayers of so many we would not have been able to make it this far. We have a couple more really long ruff days ahead starting today, then hopefully things will start calming down! Maddie is doing good and slept great in her new room last night. First good night's sleep for all three of us. We just wanted to take a second and say THANK YOU to everyone for everything. Thank you doesn't even begin to express how grateful and humbled we are. But right now it's the only thing we can say or do. Just know that we appreciate each and every one of you so much! God is good!

Family Advent Devotional
This year our parish will be offering a new devotional resource for Advent. The Family Advent Devotional replaces and builds upon the Parish Devotional, and will assist you and your entire family in making this Advent a meaningful, sacred, and prayerful season of faith. Consider purchasing one for each member of your family and enjoying it together! The devotionals will be on sale after all Masses over the weekends of 11/22-23 and 11/29-30. They'll also be available for purchase at the Parish Office throughout the following weeks and through the season of Advent.
Given the production costs associated with a resource of this size, the devotionals will sell for the following suggested donation:
$4.00 for 1 Devotional
$7.00 for 2 Devotionals
$10.00 for 3 Devotionals
All profit from this project will directly benefit a local charity.
For more information or to pick up your copy of the Advent Family Devotional (after 11/22) please contact Eric Thompson at the Parish Office.
HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF LEXINGTON MINISTRY FOR THE BEREAVED is offering a program for those who mourn. How can I make it through the holidays while missing the one I love? Whatever your age, whoever has died, whatever the cause of death, holidays lived in the absence of a loved one can be a very difficult time. This program offers words of faith, support, personal testimonies, acts of kindness, and powerful tools to aid you through the holidays.
