St. John School Newsletter
November 2, 2021
Greetings St. John Families:
Although we have made great progress against the spread of Covid in recent months, we are not immune to cases happening at our school. You should have received notification this weekend that we had a confirmed positive case in our 3rd grade class over the weekend. Today, we received notification of 2 more positive test results, one of which was also in 3rd grade. At this time, our contact tracing does not suggest that these cases are linked. However, as stated in the notification letter, we will update you if the situation changes.
We continue to keep our 6' spacing in the classrooms and our indoors masking policy. We regularly wash hands and use hand sanitizer. Please continue to use caution at home and as we approach the holiday season, plan your travel and activities appropriately. We have been very fortunate these past few months to have limited Covid impacts. Let us keep working together to minimize the risk that St. John School is the source of Covid spread and that we remain able to offer in-person instruction for the entire school.
Please consider getting a flu shot for you and your children and also consult with your physician about the safety and efficacy of the Covid vaccine for those in your life that are eligible to receive it. I just got my flu shot last week and a Covid booster and except for some arm soreness, I was A-OK!
Thanks for all that you do to make St. John School a great place to be.
Peace and good health to you all,
Mr. Mayer

Important Lunch Information for the 2021-2022 School year
School breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the 2021-22 school year. This takes the burden off of families while they continue to recover from the pandemic. We still need our families to apply for free/reduced lunches if applicable, click here. These applications affect receipt of the P-EBT cards the government has been sending out as well as grant money the school receives from the state.
