Be sure to send your students with coats this week. Looks like the morning temperatures are going to be quite brisk!
PLEASE BE SURE TO TURN IN RAFFLE TICKETS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you have unsold tickets, we need them back so that we can offer them to other buyers. We are down to only 12 days of selling left! Sure hope to see everyone at the Trunk or Treat and the Fall Fest on October 29th and I hope one of you wins some big money that night!!
The school-wide (3rd - 8th grades) spelling bee is Tuesday, October 18th after our Word and Communion Service. Winners from the elementary division (3rd – 5th) and the middle school division (6th – 8th) will move to the Diocesan Spelling Bee on October 26th at Lexington Catholic. The class bee winners are listed below.
First Quarter Report Cards go home today. Parent-Teacher conferences start this week. Be sure to reach out to your home grade teachers for a conference time. As a reminder, you may request a meeting with me or the teacher anytime of the year; Parent-Teacher conferences are simply a specific time set aside by the school to meet and talk about student success/needs.
Lastly, I would like to share with our school community the amazing results from our Cross Country team this past Saturday as they ended their season with the State Meet of Champions. Most of the runners posted either season-best fastest times or personal bests (the fastest time that they have ever run at that distance), which is a testament to their hard work throughout the season. And of particular note, I wanted to share that for the first time in school program history, a team finished TOP 10 in the State. Our 5/6th grade boys, Mark Reinhart, Owen Graham, Samuel Mayer, Grant Shear, Jack Bates, and Evan Balbaugh each ran personal best times to lead the team to a 10th place (out of 32 teams) finish. Most of these schools have more boys on their teams than we have in our classes, so it is quite an accomplishment to finish that high in the State Meet. Congrats to the whole team!
Peace,
Mr. Mayer
