Notes From the Office: October 5th, 2020

Greetings,

Welcome back to St. John School. I hope everyone enjoyed their fall break. I want to thank everyone for their help in following our "Healthy at School" policy, which you can find on our website. The  three keys of this policy are wearing a mask, social distancing, and washing hands. With the uptick in COVID cases and flu/strep season upon us it is more important than ever to be diligent in our steps to keep healthy. We are continuing to sanitize and disinfect classrooms and bathrooms throughout the day.

The next two month are going to be very important. We only have one break between now and Thanksgiving. The students are settled in and we will be covering a lot of material during this time with few interruptions. Please make sure your children get their rest and are ready to go!

The drawing for our raffle is October 24. Please help us by selling the tickets we gave you and more if you can. Also, please return all sold and unsold tickets by October 16th.  This is a very important fundraiser to help keep our cost down. Thank you to everyone who has already sold tickets! SJS parents are the best!

Raffle Tickets - Due October 16th

Thank you to everyone who has sold their raffle tickets.  If you need more tickets to sale, please email the school office at [email protected] and I will be happy to send them home with your child.

Don't forget that we will reward the class that sells the most tickets per family** with a Chick-fil-A lunch, free dress down day and movie day. The second place classroom will receive a free dress down day and movie day and the third place classroom will receive a free movie day.  **For the purposes of the contest, if there are three students in a family and the family sells 8 tickets, each student’s class will receive credit for 8 tickets. Tickets per family = # tickets sold / # students in a class.**

Drop off Temperature checks!!!

Please turn off or lower your heat in the car as you approach the temperature check station.  The heaters are causing high temperature recordings.  In order to not slow the drop off line down, you may be asked to park and wait for us to retake your childs temperature if your child tests high.  Please help make this a smooth process in the morning.  

Dress Code Reminders!

Please click here to review the uniform policy.  Remember that students are not allowed to wear sweatshirts or jackets in class unless they are St. John School logoed.

2019-20 Yearbooks are here!!

If you forgot to order your yearbook last year, we have about 20 in the office that are available.  They are $25 each.  

We are currently looking for someone to create the 2020-2021 yearbook.  If we do not get a volunteer we will not have a yearbook for this year.
