Next Tuesday, October 4th, is the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi. We will mark the day by offering a Blessing of the Pets, in honor of St. Francis’s love of all God’s creatures, great and small. We will plan to meet over in the Grotto around 8:00 am on Tuesday morning (weather permitting). Hopefully, by around 8:10 we will start the Blessing of the Pets. When complete, the students will process into the Chapel for our Tuesday morning Mass. And while parents are welcome at that Mass, please no pets in the Chapel!! As in years past, you may bring a picture or stuffed animal of your pet for blessing if bringing the pet(s) is a stress that you are not looking forward to having! If it looks like weather will be preventing the blessing in the Grotto, we will send alternate instructions.
Also, this week will mark only 1 month left until our Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival (on October 29, 2022). Please see the flyers below on how to get involved and see some of the fun we will be having. If you have not yet sold your raffle tickets, please give that some of your attention. If you find yourself with extra tickets that you feel you will not be able to sell, please turn them back in so that we may distribute them out to other sellers. We are making great progress on getting them sold, so let us all make a big push for the last month. I’m sure everyone knows someone that would love to win $10,000!
Lastly, remember that next week is a shortened week, as we observe our Fall Break. There will be no school from Wednesday, October 5th through Friday, October 7th.
Peace,
Mr. Mayer
