Principal's Corner
Greetings,
It is hard for me to believe spring break is almost here. The school year has gone by so fast. I hope everyone takes time to rest because it will be busy at St. John School when we return. It is very important that the students keep focused and work hard. MAP testing is at the end of April and the teachers will continue to work hard preparing the students for next year. A special congratulations to Brian Reinhart, who won first place in the Knights of Columbus state free throw contest. Have a safe and restful spring break!
Take care and God bless,
Dan Mardell
Here's What's New:
Perfect Attendance
We have 2 more students with perfect attendance this school year:

We will be handing out AR awards after mass tomorrow 3/25. There will be a lot of first time award winners.
Diocesan Area Band Concert
The St. John School Bands will be performing at the Diocesan Area Band Concert on Tuesday, March 25 at 7:00 p.m. in Bueter Gymnasium at Lexington Catholic High School. In addition to St. John School, bands from LCHS, other partner elementary and middle schools around the Diocese will combine to make four mass bands, involving over 400 students. The concert will last one hour, and selections will include music from The Jetsons, Flintstones, Superman, Batman, James Bond, and a finale of all bands playing Ode to Joy. You are cordially invited to come and support St. John School students at their performance!
Golf update: Due to a conflict in the schedule we will be moving golf to Tuesday and Thursdays from 6 to 7 or until they are finished.
If your child is interested in playing golf this season, please email me at Joanneandres@ymail.com as soon as possible so we can plan the schedule. We need several assistance to walk with the kids on the course and supervise on the greens so we need to know how many students to plan for. Golf will be starting April 6th at Longview Course for the Kindergarten through 4th and Thursday April 8th for the 5th through 8th grade. If you are able to stay and help please let me know.
Basketball Update: There is a girls basketball clinic beginning this evening and running every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday for 4th through 8th grades at Lexington Catholic. Any student interested in joining the basketball team next year is encouraged to join this clinic. For more information or to join the carpool, please contact joanneandres@ymail.com
Please return all Winter sports Uniforms (Basketball, Cheerleading and Dance) washed and labeled in a ziplock bag to the office at soon as possible. All uniforms need to be turned in or you will be invoiced at the end of the year to replace it. Thank you.
