Principal's Corner
Greetings,
The students at St. John have been kept busy with school and special activities this past week. St. Nicholas visited and brought a treat to the students. The middle school students participated in a Mass and Secret Santa activity with LCHS and other middle schools from the area. It was awesome to witness 1400+ students worshiping together! The Secret Santa Project established a new Guiness Book record. Our Beta Club sponsored a penny war to raise money for the victims in the Phillipines. The students have had a blast trying to win this contest. They raised over $832! This was a fantastic demonstration of the Advent virtue of generosity. Lastly, we had a great turn out and float to promote St. John School in the Georgetown Christmas Parade. After the "Frozen Chosen" braved the parade they enjoyed hot chocolate, cookies, and fellowship in the warmth of the undercroft. I would like to once again offer thanks to the students, teachers, and parents who made all the above possible. SS. Francis & John is a truly remarkable community of commitment and caring.
Take care and God bless,
Dan Mardell
