Our Pre-K class did an experiment to see if they could walk on water! With a little help from corn starch they could!

Greetings,
The rain held off and it was a great weather for "Movie Night." I would like to thank everyone who volunteered to support this event. It was a fun night for parents to visit and the kids to play with their friends. Also, we had many parents and students help package food for the Feed My Starving Children program and provide activities for the children at the Kite Festival this weekend. Be sure to check out pictures of these events on the school and church websites. It is truly great to see how much people are willing to help with our school, parish, and community!!!

Family Movie Night
The Spring 2016 Family Movie Night was once again a huge success! The weather turned out perfect for s'mores! Thank you to all who attended this event! Our hope is to have this event twice a year, in the Fall and Spring, to bring both students and parents together to have some well deserved fun. If you have any comments or suggestions on ways to improve this event, please let us know.

New Fundraiser
We have joined with Wendy's for a wonderful new fundraising opportunity! You will be receiving vouchers to use for 1 year at most area Wendy's restaurants. A list of participating Wendy's stores will also come home. Click here for the link to print more vouchers to use. Save the Date for the Art Show
This years annual art show will be held May 12th, from 3-6 pm, at Cardome. Those interested in helping set up the art show on the 11th, please contact Ms. Moore and watch for details in upcoming Notes. If you can help in the weeks before the art show with any other details, help would be greatly appreciated. We are also looking for donations for the 3 art baskets for the scavenger hunt. Lexington Catholic Bus Meeting
On May 5, 2016 at 6:30pm there will be a meeting in the undercroft of the church for anyone interested in more information about the bus to Lexington Catholic High School. Mr. Rick Wagner, Director of Transportation for Lexington Catholic, will be there to answer questions and hand out information about the bus. If you have a child who will be riding the bus next year or are interested in sending your child to Lexington Catholic in the future, please attend this meeting, all are welcome.
Summer Solutions
Don't forget to order your summer solutions books. Orders placed by May 1st and using school code JOH40324 will be shipped to the school for free. The cost of the book is $12.

Open Registration Going On Now
Please help spread the word about our amazing school. We are now accepting registration for the upcoming school year from the public. We have yard signs by the main school building if you would like to put one in your yard to help us advertise!
Computer Lab Hours
The Computer Lab is open on Mondays from 3-3:30 for students who would like to take AR tests or practice typing.
