St. John School and Parish are collecting cases of water to donate for this event. Our goal is to collect 100 cases of water. You can drop donations off in the school/parish office or contact Maria Pearl for pick up.

As the old saying goes, "Take a look at us now." I hope you take some time to look around at all the improvements we have made the last couple of years. I would like to thank the parents, parishioners, and Knights of Columbus for their dedication to improving our school. Your help has our place looking good and keeps our tuition down. I hope to see you at orientation.
If you are not working bingo please help us. We have looked at other options for fundraising, Any other fundraising would require more parent involvement, effort, and time to raise the same amount of money. Without bingo we would have to raise our tuition $1,200 - $1,500 per student. For only 6 hours of your time per month, we get a great financial reward to help you and our school. For those of you already working bingo, thank you! For those of you who have yet to join us, please consider how important this is to our community and join us this year!!

Here's What's New:
Orientation
Don't forget to attend orientation this Wednesday, August 5th anytime between 9-12 or 4-7. Please start in the church to receive your folder of information. Students will have their school pictures made. Don't forget to bring your checkbook to pay any outstanding fees, set up lunch accounts and purchase agendas.
Kroger Community Rewards
August is the annual re-enrollment month for the Kroger Community Rewards program. In order for current enrolled members to support our parish and school, you MUST re-enroll (or to enroll for the first time) in Community Rewards sometime in August (August 1-31, 2015). All you need to do to enroll/re-enroll is go to www.Kroger.com/communityrewards. Once you have created an account, just follow steps to enroll/re-enroll in the rewards program using our parish's NPO number: 10168. Remember - your purchases will not count for our parish and school until you enroll or re-enroll.
Substitute Teachers Needed
Please contact the school office if you are interested or know someone who it interested in being a substitute teacher for our school.
FACTS Tuition
All families will need to click the link below to create their tuition account for the 2015-2016 school year. Tuition payments begin in July. Your enrollment is not complete until you have signed up. You will also need to use the link below to apply for financial aid. Please let the office know if you have any additional questions.
Summer office hoursThe school office will be open from 9am - 12pm during the summer.Computer Lab Summer Hours - UPDATED
The computer lab will be open for students to take AR test or practice on Typing Web the following hours. The last day to take AR tests this summer will be on orientation day, Aug. 5th, from 10-12 and 5-7.Soccer
It is about that time for Saints soccer to get underway for the upcoming year. There is an early deadline for the upcoming fall registration. I need to get the registration process going as soon as possible so we will know how many teams and age groups we will have for the fall season. We will be participating in the YMCA soccer league again this year. There will be several age groups for the upcoming season. There will be spots available for the following ages: a 4-5 division, 6-7 division, 8-9 division and a 10-12 division. If anyone is interested please let me know as soon as possible. Practice will start around August 13th for the fall season. If you know that you are interested just send me the players name and their age. Also if you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me. You can contact me directly, Coach Chris at [email protected]Cross Countryor at 859-221-0409.Hello St. John Cross Country Runners!No rest for the weary - as the school year comes to an end, this is the time to turn all of that mental energy into physical energy as you get out those running shoes and start running in preparation for the upcoming, exciting cross country season!! This year's season will officially start on MONDAY, JULY 27th -- we will be meeting, as in year's past, at Brooking Park by the big playground. For those new to the sport, we practice from 6-7:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday, and Thursday at the park. All you need is a good attitude, a willingness to try hard, and a pair of running shoes!! We lost a huge chunk of middle schoolers last year, so we need fresh faces to help out the veterans - so if you are interested, come on out and join the fun! Any student at St John's in 1st - 8th grade is allowed to be on the team. If there are any questions, or if anyone would like suggestions on how much and what they should be running in this early summer, please do not hesitate to contact me at [email protected] OR call me at 606-669-1230. Used Uniforms
Don't forget to stop by the office to purchase some gently used uniforms. You may also drop off all your old uniforms that don't fit anymore.BingoThere was no update available. VIP people are in high demand. If you would like to work bingo but do not want to walk all night, please consider learning one of the desk positions.
