Notes From the Office: Monday, December 16th, 2019Weekly Updates December 2019 Greetings, I hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas program last Tuesday. A big thank you to the students and Ms. Whittington for the hard work they put forth to provide a wonderful program. As we continue into the Advent and Christmas season, I would like to thank everyone for their gifts of time, talent and treasure. I feel blessed to work with such great teachers, parents, and students.

Here's What's New!! 
Much thanks to parents for their patience on Friday afternoon as our filming for the school marketing video ran a little long. All of the kids did an OUTSTANDING job filming their parts for the video! We are hoping to debut the finished results during Catholic Schools Week, so stay tuned for updates on that! Also a HUGE THANK YOU to Kim Jansen and Mrs. Bilotta for helping to keep things running smoothly throughout the afternoon!

The safety of your children is always uppermost in our minds. In recent years, we have taken many steps to ensure our school is a safe place. All our staff and volunteers have received background checks and training in protecting our students. Before Christmas, we will be utilizing lessons from the “Circle of Grace” program in the religion classes. This program is endorsed by Bishop John Stowe and the United States Conference of Bishops. Lesson plans have been developed for our various grade levels and will offer specific instruction in safety. St. John School is using this as part of the diocesan environmental safety program. If you have any questions/concerns, contact me or please stop by your child’s classroom to view the content of the program.Music Ministry Dates and Times-Christmas Choirs

Box Tops For Education
Box Tops is changing to fit today's families. The new and improved Box Tops mobile app uses state-of-the-art technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to your school's earnings online.
Eventually the Box Tops program will become digital-only. Participating brands are starting to change their packaging from a traditional Box Tops clip to the new Box Top label.
If you see this label, use the new Box Tops app to scan your receipt. Box Tops are still worth 10¢ each for your school. The app will find participating products purchased at any store and instantly add cash to your school's earnings online.
