Greetings,
We had an excellent open house for St. John School on Sunday. There is a great deal of interest from new families who would like to have their children attend our school. Remember, current families can register this week and guarantee a spot for next year. Next week we open enrollment to parishioners and then to the public. Most of our classes had a waiting list this year. Next year will be a very exciting year for St. John School, so I hope you join us.
This week is Catholic Schools Week. We will be celebrating with fun activities throughout the week. We are very fortunate to have a school where the specific purpose is to form students to be good citizens, love God and neighbor and enrich society with the gospel and by an example of faith.
I would like to thank students, parents, teachers, and staff for making St. John School a great place to grow in mind and spirit! Happy 100th day of school!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell Principal
Registration for the 2021-2022 School year Registration letters went home last Thursday. You will have until February 7th to secure your spot for the upcoming school year. Registration opens to parishioners on February 8th and to the community on February 17th. Please remember to send in your $100 per child registration fee to secure your students spot.
Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday, January 31st. We are conducting a school wide service project for Catholic Schools week. Please bring in nonperishable food items that we will donate to the Amen house. Lets show Scott County that we are a small but mighty school!

“The family, is so to speak, the domestic church.” (Lumen Gentium #11)
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Good Shepherd to bring CHRIST IN MY HOME Ministry to SSFJ! Each week, a short video (no more than 10 minutes!) will be sent via email and posted on our SSFJ website. The videos will help you prepare for the following week's Gospel along with practical ideas for building your "domestic church". It is our hope that you will set aside a time to view the video as a family and invite Christ in to your everyday living!
Videos and discussion questions will be emailed out on Sunday afternoons and posted on the SSFJ Facebook Page & the SSFJ Website. School Year Calendar Click here to view the full school year calendar. This calendar is subject to change due to COVID.
After School You can contact the after school program by emailing [email protected] or by calling 502-642-0692. Please only call if you will be late picking up your child from after school.
