Greetings,
This was a busy, yet fun, weekend at our school and parish. On Friday, we celebrated the winter athletic season with the annual "Battle of the Rock." The event included introduction of the athletes and cheerleaders, basketball games between the girls and boys, and lots of cheering! The "Battle of the Rock" is truly a great way for the whole school to get together and have fun.
Friday night was the Knights of Columbus fish fry. A couple from Cincinnati even stopped in for dinner on their way to Nashville. They were very complimentary of the dinner and friendly atmosphere. If you haven't attended one, please stop in for some great conversation and wonderful food.
Congratulations to Dawson Pearl, John Reinhart, and David Reinhart for winning the regional Knights of Columbus free throw contest on Sunday. They will advance to the state contest in Louisville. Way to go St. John students!!!
Remember to keep our parish and school in your prayers.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell

Parish Bulletin Ad Sponsors Needed Terry Sweeney from Liturgical Publications was with us this past week securing advertisers for our Bulletin. We would like to thank all of the advertisers who have generously committed to the Bulletin for this year. We still have space available and humbly ask that you consider advertising your business or remembering a loved one in our weekly bulletin. Our parish bulletin is one of our main communication tools to our parish members. It provides inspirational words from Father, Mass intentions, news, and events for the week ahead. We are thankful that this crucial communication piece is provided to our parish at no cost thanks to the generous advertising support of our parishioners and community-minded businesses. Please let us know if you can help. Sponsors of our bulletin recognize the tremendous value of connecting with our church family, who in turn respond by supporting our sponsors! If you would like to advertise in the weekly bulletin, please contact Terry Sweeney at(248) 877-7769 or via e-mail to [email protected]. Thank you!
Rice Bowls During Lent our school will participate in CRS Rice Bowl. In the first 40 years, more than $250 million has been given through CRS Rice Bowl to support programs that prevent hunger and poverty around the world. Of that, $62.5 million went to programs in the U.S. through local dioceses and $187.5 million went to CRS programs overseas. Rice bowls should be returned to the school office by March 23rd.
