St. John Families:

Well, the students had a great Catholic Schools Week and the staff survived!  We hope that you know how important our families are to our mission and how much we appreciate your support.  Thanks to all our helpers last week that made Catholic Schools Week a success for the students and the staff.  The “Stuff My Office” food drive to support the Amen House was quite a success by the end of the week.  I spent Friday sitting outside of my office at a tiny student desk at the edge of my hallway.  A photo of the fruits of their efforts is down below.  Thanks to all of you that made donations to support this wonderful ministry.  For those of you that made it to Mass on Sunday, you got to hear from the Amen House Director on the impact of our efforts in helping Scott County.

The repair team’s work on the steam pipe leaks for the Parish Hall last week coupled with the plumbing team’s repairs to the boiler fill system seem to have accomplished the task.  We have steam heat flowing this morning in the cafeteria and the second floor of the Parish Hall.  This means that all classes (preschool to eighth grade) will be back in the cafeteria for lunch!!

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens today for current families.  Your re-enrollment packets came home on Friday.  Based on the attendance and broad interest for grade levels, I would encourage you to fill out and get the registration fee as quickly as possible to save your spot for the upcoming year!  The next Open House will be on Sunday, February 25, 2024.  Please spread the word to your friends, family, and neighbors!

Thanks to those that have been helping and donating for the Gala (to be held on March 16th).  Ticket sales are now open.  See the flyer below on how to get your tickets today!!

Just a reminder that all students should bring a snack and drink from home everyday.  All classes have a snack time for students.
