St John Families:

We had a great Catholic Schools Week.  Although we had the weather hiccup on Tuesday, we were able to complete all of other planned activities and ended the week with a nice student appreciation day.

The Penny War was a huge success!  The students really seemed to enjoy the competition and were all smiles as they figured out strategies for coin placement.  From young to old, there was a lot of excitement around the whole thing.  We will be announcing the class winner after the school Mass tomorrow, but I can share with you the amazing total that was raised to support the Not Alone Pregnancy Center.  By cleaning out your change (and to be honest, we did see lots of paper money dropped in as well), this school was able to raise $2237.56!!  That is truly good work.

Current families received the re-enrollment paperwork on Friday.  Be sure that you get that completed and your registration fee in starting today, February 6th.  Remember that on February 13th, registration opens to families in the parish that are not already enrolled, and then registration opens to the general public on February 20th.  Wait lists are expected in several grades, so please don’t wait too long to get your information completed on Sycamore and your fee into the school.

Next, your word of mouth referrals have been greatly appreciated.  Keep spreading the word.  Our next OPEN HOUSE is this Sunday, February 12th from 2:00-4:00.  Yes, it is Super Bowl Sunday, but we are early enough that families can visit the Open House and have plenty of time to get ready for those parties.

2022 Tax Information

The fee for soccer is $120 per child.  Signups start Feb. 8th.

We are ready to race again! Last year’s race was absolutely amazing!! Over 900 family, friends, and community members showed their love and support for our boys; and for that, we are forever grateful. Incredibly, we raised over $45,000 to go towards a scholarship fund that we will be announcing more about soon. 

Please join us on Sunday, April 30th at 2pm for the 2nd Annual Dom & Dave Memorial 5k at the Coldstream Park in NW Lexington. We have added a Fun Run this year for kids 10 and under and prize opportunities for the fastest teams. We look forward to seeing everyone again for a fantastic day of running and camaraderie-the perfect way to honor the lives Dom & Dave.

100% of the race proceeds will go to The Dominic Bilotta Memorial Foundation, Inc. which will be used to provide scholarship opportunities in the names of both Dominic and David.
