A Note From Mr. Mayer

Well, MAP testing got off to a great start yesterday as we were able to complete the Reading Assessment for the entire school (for all those that were here, of course!).  Wednesday and Thursday are the next two test days.  For students that miss one of the sections, we will have makeup test days this Friday and next week as needed.

A reminder that Monday, January 16th we will be observing the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.  The SCHOOL IS CLOSED MONDAY, JANUARY 16.

Also, please do not forget that the school will be hosting its first OPEN HOUSE of the new year on Sunday, January 29th from 2-4 PM.  This is a great time to invite friends to come see what this school has to offer their children.  Please help us spread the word about the Open House and about what St. John School has done for your child/children.  Word of mouth and personal invites continue to be one of the biggest drivers of enrollment even in this digital age.

Please work with your homeroom parents to get the donations in for the Gala Silent Auction Baskets.  Next Tuesday is the “no later than target”, but getting them in this week would be even better!  Please reach out to the SIA Gala Prep team or your homeroom parent if you have any questions.

Lastly, please pray for success and a speedy recovery for our dear Fr. Linh as he goes into surgery this Thursday.  The surgeons hope to correct the issues with his prior foot injury and the resultant odyssey that ensued.
