Notes From the Office: January 11th, 2021

Greetings,

Even though it was cold, it sure was nice to see some sunshine on Sunday. As the COVID numbers increase, I once again want to ask your help by making sure your children stay healthy.

• If a student tests positive for COVID you must notify the school immediately!  Following CDC guidelines, state law requires families to report positive cases to their schools within 24 hours.
• If a member of your household has tested due to symptoms and is awaiting results, your children should stay home from school.
• If you child has symptoms, they should stay home and consider getting tested.
• Once an individual has been contact traced they must quarantine for the allotted time.  Members of the household can continue to go about their normal schedules unless someone develops symptoms.

MAP testing begins next week. The results will be used by the teachers to analyze how the students are doing with all disruptions caused by the pandemic. The test will also help determine what skills the teachers will need to work on in their instruction. Thank you for all your help during these difficult times.

Trump Administration Extends Free Meals for Kids for Entire School Year!!!

“The family, is so to speak, the domestic church.” (Lumen Gentium #11)

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Good Shepherd to bring CHRIST IN MY HOME Ministry to SSFJ!  Each week, a short video (no more than 10 minutes!) will be sent via email and posted on our SSFJ website. The videos will help you prepare for the following week's Gospel along with practical ideas for building your "domestic church".   It is our hope that you will set aside a time  to view the video as a family and invite Christ in to your everyday living!

Videos and discussion questions will be emailed out on Sunday afternoons and posted on the SSFJ Facebook Page & the SSFJ Website.
