St John Families:

 

Well, winter is making itself known in Kentucky!  Please remember to check for St. John School (Georgetown) in the closings sections when there is a chance that we could be closed due to weather.  We do not follow the lead of Scott County.

 

I hope that you all have read through the revised Covid guidance for St. John School that became effective today, January 18th. (It is attached here for your reference).  Please note that because we are a masking school, the CDC has recommended that there is no longer a need for contact tracing should there be exposure to cases of Covid in the K-8 school.  As such, we will no longer be communicating individual positive cases in individual classes.  Instead, we will be monitoring for trends or multiple cases and would communicate to you collectively if there is concern.  We have strong mitigation measures with our masking, spacing, and hygiene practices.  I would still encourage you to speak with your physician about vaccination for your students (and yourself) as vaccination is proving to be the most effective mitigation strategy against severe disease regardless of the Covid variant.

 

Thanks for all that you are doing in communicating with us and being willing to keep sick children at home.  Please continue to pray for an end to the pandemic and the health and safety of our community.

Important Lunch Information for the 2021-2022 School year

School breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the 2021-22 school year. This takes the burden off of families while they continue to recover from the pandemic.  We still need our families to apply for free/reduced lunches if applicable, click here.  These applications affect receipt of the P-EBT cards the government has been sending out as well as grant money the school receives from the state.
