Yesterday was a great start to Catholic Schools Week! We had about 30 students come to the two morning Masses in their uniforms which gave us a chance for the parishioners to recognize and give them a quick round of applause. Our Open House yesterday looked to be a great success. There was interest from preschool to middle school and we made some great connections to the families that visited. Thanks to our tour guides for giving of their time and thanks to our teachers for impressing our visitors with your knowledge and compassion. A couple of the families left saying this phrase “this really feels like the place for us”. A special thanks to you all for the great word of mouth advertising by sharing your experiences about St. John School and helping bring in new families.
A repair team worked on the steam pipe leaks for Parish Hall this weekend and need a couple more days to finish the work. We are optimistic that the repairs will allow us to restore steam heat to the building by the end of the week. In the interim, we will continue to use a temporary cafeteria area while preschool and kindergarten will use their classrooms for lunch. I hope to have another positive update mid-week.
The “Stuff My Office” food drive to support the Amen House is off to a quick start. Please have your students bring in non-perishable food items to support us in this important mission. I challenged the kiddos because I am very good at organizing and packing boxes, so today’s days drop offs of a couple hundred items only occupy 12 of the tiles in my office (which has about 169 tiles!).
Thanks to all the students and families that showed up to support the middle school basketball teams and cheerleaders. They were tough games, but I know the players appreciated the extra support in the stands. Keep your eyes open for additional opportunities to come support all our students in action!
Registration for the 2024-2025 school year opens next Monday for current families. Your re-enrollment packets will come home on Friday. Based on the attendance and broad interest for grade levels, I would encourage you to fill out and get the registration fee in as quickly as possible to save your spot for the upcoming year!
Thanks to those that have been helping and donating for the Gala. I would also like to encourage everyone to support our Gala Fundraiser (held this year on March 16th). Ticket sales will open soon for the Gala. But please remember that besides attending an evening of fun with adults, you can also support us by making donations for the silent auction. Gift cards and fun craft items or game tickets are all easy and desirable donations for others to bid on. Reach out to Jess Manning and Stefanie Adams for more information or questions and you can drop off any donations at the school or parish office.

2022-2023 Yearbooks
Did you forget to order your yearbook last year? That's no problem. We have about 15 extras that are for sale. They will be on a first come first serve basis. Please email the office at [email protected] if you would like to purchase one.
Snacks and Drinks
Just a reminder that all students should bring a snack and drink from home everyday. All classes have a snack time for students.
