St John Families:

 

Happy New Year!  Hopefully you had a nice and restful break spending some quality time with the kiddos.  We are glad to have them back though (and it is OK if you are glad that we have them back too!).  We sent a letter out to you on Sunday (Jan 2) about our return to school and our Healthy at School practices (click here to read).

 

A few other reminders:

 

MAP testing will start next week.  This second round of testing this year will give us a good measure of progress in our reading and math skills.

 

Please remember to read through our inclement weather policy in the handbook.  Briefly, when a decision is made to close school, we will make sure that the decision is communicated to you including on the local TV stations.  If we decide to be open, we will not close school down during the day.  However, you may choose to pick your students up early if the weather or road conditions have you concerned.  We may choose to shut down the Afterschool program after the day has started, however, and we will communicate to you should that happen.

Important Lunch Information for the 2021-2022 School year

School breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the 2021-22 school year. This takes the burden off of families while they continue to recover from the pandemic.  We still need our families to apply for free/reduced lunches if applicable, click here.  These applications affect receipt of the P-EBT cards the government has been sending out as well as grant money the school receives from the state.
