Notes From the Office: July 28th, 2014

Greetings,

St. John School has been a busy place this summer. Once again, thank you for all your help in getting church and school grounds in great shape. We have received many compliments about how good everything looks. I am excited about a grant we received that has allowed us to hire Ms. Upton as a part time music teacher and music liturgy leader for the school. Also, Mrs. Griese and the technology team have been working hard to make improvements to our overall technology needs. They are planning to improve the infrastructure to handle our increasing equipment and software needs. This will allow us to better handle devices such as ipads and tablets in the classroom. I also appreciate everyone who has stepped up to help with the fall festival. This is a great chance for the SS. Francis & John Parish and St. John School family to pull together for a great cause and good fellowship. I am looking forward to a great school year and seeing everyone at Orientation on August 6th!

* Summer office hours are 9am to Noon. The school office will be closed 7/31 and 8/1.

Orientation

Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 6th from 9-11:45am and 4-7pm. Click here to see the letter that was e-mailed last week about orientation.

Parish Administrative Assistant Job Opening
Ss. Francis and John Catholic Parish is seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide support to our Pastor, staff and parish organizations. The qualified candidate must be able to perform general office duties; maintain confidentiality; be self-directed; have strong computer skills including Micorsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint); ability to multi-task, be organized, prioritize, and be detail oriented. Experience in PDS accounting database preferred. Minimum High School Degree; Associates Degree preferred. Minimum of three years of office experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills required. Should have a solid understanding and appreciation of the Catholic Church's mission and teachings. Used Uniforms

Don't forget to stop by the office to purchase some gently used uniforms. You may also drop off all your old uniforms that don't fit anymore.

Lexington Catholic Girls Golf Tryouts
LCHS Girls' Golf Tryouts will be played on July 29th at Connemara Golf Course. Interested players should be at Connemara at 12:15pm on July 29th. Tee times will between 1 and 1:30pm. To tryout players must have a KHSAA physical on file with LCHS or must bring one to tryouts. Tryout are open to any 9th-12th grade girl at LCHS and any 7th and/or 8th grade girl attending one of our Catholic partner schools.
