Notes From the Office: Monday, March 12th, 2018Weekly Updates March 2018 Greetings, Hopefully, the big Monday snow will be the last of the season. You can never count on that in Kentucky! I would like to give a big thank you to our Saints In Action for putting together “Movie Night” last Saturday. What a great opportunity for St. John parents and students to share pizza and a movie together. Tomorrow, please join us for “Breakfast and Books” in the undercroft from 7:30 – 8:25. Please have your children check in with their teacher before you head over to this event.
Remember to keep all our community in your prayers during this Lenten season. Also, please remind your children how important it is to stay focused and work hard to get the most out of their education.

This Friday, March 16th, will be an out of uniform day for a $1 donation. Please make sure you follow dress code rules. Shorts are not permitted until April. Students who do not bring their $1 donation and are out of uniform, may not be allowed to participate in future dress down days.Honor Roll and Perfect Attendance

Spring Soccer at the YMCA
We are getting teams together this spring for the Scott County YMCA soccer league. The teams are co-ed with the following ages: 4/5, 6/7 and 8-10.
4/5 - we need 1 or 2 more players and a coach.
6/7 - we need 4 or 5 more players
8-10 - we need 4 more players
Please go through the Central Kentucky YMCA website to register. Our deadline is March 16! Soccer league will run from March 26 - May 19.
SIA Upcoming Events - Mark your Calendars!!
Tuesday, March 13th. Scholastic Book Fair “Breakfast and Books” 730am -830am. Come eat breakfast and shop the book fair, then stay for Mass.
Saturday, April 21st. Volunteer Appreciation Night at Slainte, 6pm - 9pm. Come out and join us as we thank YOU, the wonderful volunteers of Saint John School for all you do to make our school a great place!
Saturday, April 28th SCHOOL HOUSE CHAMPIONS 5K

March Art Clubs
Tuesday arts and crafts club for K-3rd grade is full for March. If you are interested for April please contact Miss Barb at [email protected]
Thursday Drawing class- This is a class for those who want to work on their skill through working on specific drawings to suit their individual needs. Class is $50 for the month.
SHOES....Do you have an old pair of shoes that have interesting sole markings and want to get rid of them? We are doing a printmaking class that could use them! Contact Miss Barb if you have shoes
to contribute!
Art Show Prep!
On most Friday morning we are preparing for the art show from 9 am-10 am. If you have an hour to help us mat, frame and do other things please come by!
This month we will be meeting on March 9th and 23rd. Thank you for your help! For more information please contact Miss Barb.

St. John's 15th Annual Art show is Thursday, May 3rd, from 3pm to 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to join us in seeing the beautiful art work that our students have been engaged with this year!
