Principal's Corner
Greetings,
After living twenty five years in New Mexico, I always consider rainy, cool weather a blessing. However, I am sure our soccer and cross county teams are welcoming the sunshine and warmer weather. Despite the damp weather, we had a great turnout for the blessing of the animals. It is always fun to watch the pure joy in the students as they interact with all the animals. Lastly, I would would like to thank the Mullikins for hosting a wonderful open house wine and cheese party to welcome our new families.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell

Winter Sports
The winter sports season is fast approaching. Winter sports include Boys and Girls basketball and Cheerleading. St. John's will once again have a 5th and 6th grade boys basketball team, 7th and 8th grade boys basketball team, a 5th through 8th girls basketball team and a cheerleading team. Practices will begin the week of October 12th. Basketball practices will be held at Faith Baptist on either Monday, Tuesday, or Thursdays. The teams usually practice twice a week. The cheerleading team will be practicing once a week and will practice on campus. If you are interested in playing this upcoming season, please email Jason Noffsinger at [email protected] so he can get with the coaches so they can set up their players meeting prior to the season starting.
We are still in search of a cheerleading coach. If you are interested in this, please let Jason know and he will talk to you about the commitment.

Cross Country News
"The St John CC team took their talents to the very soggy home course of TLS Tuesdaynight. Despite the gloomy weather, the boys and girls ran very hard and well through the sloppiness; this course contains haybales, forests, a creek, and many turns, so although it is one of kids' favorites, it is NOT a great course for fast times! Top 40 finishes and ribbons were garnished by Alex Mayer, Josh Drummond, Preston Luckett, and Kylie Hargrave! Top 20 finishes and medals were won by Erin Luckett (6th place), Kristin Drummond (2nd place !!), David Reinhart (3rd place), Dominic Bilotta (7th place), and John Reinhart (8th place)! Once again, the boys elementary team, this time consisting of David, Dominic, John, Preston, Josh, Alex, Hadyn Humphrey, Max Berry, Charlie Berry, Mark Reinhart, Ben Mayer, Coen Noble and Evan Lopez and Raeburn Taylor, WON FIRST PLACE -- this is their third victory in a row! Grace Hommrich, Matt Drummond, Aiden Lopez, Nicholas Coleman, and Seth Perry all ran super in the middle school race, as did Gianna Neaves and Maddie Blankenship for the Elementary girls! Great job SAINTS!!"
