St John Families:

Thanksgiving Week is here! As we spend time together this week reflecting on our blessings and giving thanks to God for all that is good, I wanted to publicly give thanks for all these awesome students and their supportive parents. I am so blessed to be here on this beautiful campus with this wonderful new facility and serving your families. And many thanks go to the great staff here working hard every day to help your children learn and grow.

While the pandemic continues to put up roadblocks to normalcy, I am so thankful that our community has worked together to keep the staff and students safe and to keep us able to have in-person learning. This past weekend, our 3 parochial league basketball teams got a chance to play in real games (something that had not happened since March of 2020; 20 months ago)!

Two brief reminders about our Season of Giving here at St. John’s. First, when you are out shopping online or in-person this week, please pick up a few books to donate to our toy drive in partnership with the Georgetown Fire Department. There will be more details after the break, but our goal is to collect one book per student this year, for a total goal of 140 new or gently used books! Additionally, I hope to have at least 80% participation from our families in pursuit of this goal (we had 85% participation in our picture day fundraiser!).

Second, please don’t forget to spread the word about our iGiveCatholic campaign on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 30th). Donate now (see information below) and share the link with your extended friends and families to help us meet our goal of $10,000 towards playground equipment on our new Cardome campus.

Finally, may you all have a blessed Thanksgiving. Spread love with your families but keep the germs at bay!

Christmas Parade Planning Meeting

Saints in Action will be meeting tonight, Monday, November 22nd, at 5:45 at Slainte Public House on Main St. to plan for the upcoming Georgetown Christmas Parade.  All are welcome to attend!!

Important Lunch Information for the 2021-2022 School year

School breakfast and lunch will be free for all students for the 2021-22 school year. This takes the burden off of families while they continue to recover from the pandemic.  We still need our families to apply for free/reduced lunches if applicable, click here.  These applications affect receipt of the P-EBT cards the government has been sending out as well as grant money the school receives from the state.
