Notes From the Office: November 5th, 2018

Greetings,

 

I want to thank everyone who attended our Thanksgiving meal. The food was great and we received many compliments about the meal. I hope you enjoyed the changes that allowed you to eat with all your children at once. Congratulations to our St. John Alumni! They had four members on the Lexington Catholic cross country team that won the state championship on Saturday! We only have two and a half weeks until Thanksgiving. Please encourage your children to work hard and do their best. Thank you for all your help in making St. John School a special place where students can grow in mind and spirit.

Congratulations to Lexington Catholic and our St. John Alum who are on the cross country team!  The boys cross country team won their 3rd consecutive state championship this weekend!  Pictured are the 4 St. John Alum who were part of the 7 man team that won.

YEP! It’s that time!! Georgetown’s Home for the Holidays Parade is Saturday, December 1st at 6pm! The theme is “Making the Season Bright”. Please contact Ginny Squires @ 502-316-4182, if you would like to help with planning or decorating the float! 

Cub Scout Pack 167 would like to invite all SJS parents, students and Sts Francis & John Catholic Parish to our  3^rdAnnual Veteran’s Assembly at Cardome’s Black Barn, 6:30pm on November 12th. This event is intended to teach respect for and to honor our military. We will have special speakers as well as a flag retirement ceremony. Scouts are the only group outside the US Military that can retire flags, it is a very special honor. Light refreshments served.  If you are a Veteran and would like to speak about your service at our event, please contact Ginny Squires at 502-316-4182. Please bring individual drink mixes for Military Mission’s Operation Christmas!
