Principal's Corner
Greetings,
It sure makes it easier to get up and moving with the time change! One of the things that I love about our school is the service projects that students participate in throughout the year. Recently, our third and fourth graders collected and delivered over 760 pounds of food to the Amen House! Our staff does a great job helping the students understand the importance of social justice issues and giving back to our community.
Congratulations to our 4th/5th robotics teams for bringing home a trophy! Two St. John teams competed in the Slaughter Elementary Vex IQ Cross challenge last Saturday. They finished 2nd and 3rd out of twenty teams. Please check out the St. John School Facebook page for more about this robotics competition. Also, several of our alumni did a fantastic job representing St. John School at the state cross country meet last weekend. Michaela Reinhart, representing Lexington Catholic, was first in state. Also, Caanan Neaves and Brian Reinhart were part of the Lexington Catholic boys' team that won first in state. Could St. John School be creating a feeder school dynasty for Lexington Catholic ???? As a recent Facebook article stated, "Amazing results from such a small school! Way to go Saints!"
