Greetings,

This will be a very exciting week with a lot of activities. Our seventh and eighth graders will be leaving for Washington DC on Thursday and return Tuesday. This is a fantastic educational opportunity for our students! Thanks to Mrs. Lopez for the many hours put into organizing this trip. Also, the eighth graders will be touring Lexington Catholic on Wednesday. Lastly, our pep rally for fall sports is Thursday at 1:30 pm. This is always a great time for the students to be loud and proud of the athletic achievements of our students. Our girls’ soccer team lost their first match of the season yesterday and our boys’ team remains undefeated. The first/second boys’ grade cross country team brought home a second place trophy and the 5^th/6^th boys finished 4^th – a great effort was put forth by all runners.

As I walk through the rooms, I continue to be impressed by the hard work and dedication of our teachers. They continue to offer an excellent faith-based education. We are very fortunate to have such a vibrant parish and school. As we move forward, there are many exciting things happening. If you would like to help, or have any concerns please contact me.

St. John School Christmas Play!! Mark your calendars now!
Sunday, December 17th, at 3pm in the Cardome Chapel.

It's just before Christmas and the tree ornaments have been awakened from their yearly hibernation by the movement of their storage box. It's time! As they begin to prepare for another season on the Christmas tree, they are greeted by a rather strange and "un-Christmassy" ornament: A Hula-Girl. The Star, Snowman, the Angel and others don't understand what she has to do with Christmas and give her a rather cool reception until another significant figure from the mantelpiece shows up to explain to all of them what Christmas is about and how they each have significance in God's amazing plan of redemption through His Son, Jesus.

A humorous and engaging story with delightful songs and a solid salvation message that will teach children what Jesus' coming was all about and remind kids and congregation alike that Christmas is truly a time to celebrate!

	The K of C Golf Scramble has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 28th beginning at 9:00 am. Canewood Golf Course 301 General John Payne Blvd. Georgetown, KY 40324 Registration Forms available in the Church Office! There are still spaces for you to sign up!

church from 8:00am ‘til noon for your blood donations. Questions:

“No amount of money can replace a simple blood donation. Blood cannot be created in a laboratory, and only donors like you can provide blood to patients who need it right now.”

Each blood donor will receive a free KBC tee-shirt.


	Now is the time to clip your box tops and turn them in to the school. Our 1st deadline for the school year is October 25th. Our school has received over $11,000 since we began collecting box tops. Lets try to reach of goal of $500 in box tops! Remember each non-expired box top is worth 10 cents.


	Art News Thanks to all who have donated items to the art room. I am grateful! Currently the art room is looking for wine cork donations for projects this December. If you have any or anything else that you think would be a good item for the art room to have please contact Miss Barb at [email protected]. Thank you!
