Many of the students and parents of our school had a busy and fun weekend. First, our cross country team battled the rain, cold weather, and wind as they participated in the State Meet of Champions. It was a huge meet with over 6,000 participants. I am so proud of the dedication and effort of our runners. Please check out all the results in the notes. Secondly, I had a “spooktacular” time at the annual Barn Dance. There was a great crowd that was treated to delicious food and desserts. Of course, the highlight of the evening was all the fantastic costumes.
I would like to thank the cross country coaches and all the parents who planned the barn dance. With your help we are able to offer fun and varied opportunities for our students. Your efforts are very much appreciated!
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell

Thanksgiving Lunch RSVP Due Wednesday!!
We will have our annual Thanksgiving lunch on Friday, November 2nd. We are trying something new this year! We are going to have the children eat lunch according to their last name so that families can eat together. Please watch the Notes or emails from your teacher for the exact lunch time for your student. Make sure if you wish to attend the lunch that you RSVP. We have run out of food in the past from people not notifying us they are coming. The RSVP form is due to the school office not later than Wednesday, October 24thso we can order the food. Please return the form even if your child is the only one eating. We currently only have 50 people eating lunch on November 2nd.
The Diocesan Annual Appeal is inviting our children to participate and explore how our members are a family that is one in Christ. The goal is to strengthen the connection the students feel for our Diocesan family and to help see themselves as mission disciples of Jesus by contributing to their Diocesan family with prayers, good deeds, and charity. Please return the envelopes that your student is bringing home as soon as possible. They were due Friday, October 19th. We have only received 30 envelopes back as of today and are trying to get 100% participation.

"Your St John CC team ended their season this past Saturday at the Meet of Champions at Masterson Station Park in Lexington. This is our HUGE state meet with over 6,000 runners from around the state! Your harriers did fantastic!! All of the runners ran tough in heavy traffic on a blustery day! The 4th and Under boys consisting of Mark Reinhart, Coen Noble, Ben Mayer, Kieran Graham, Owen Graham, Griffin Hughes, Ian Conklin, William Gordley, and Bentley Korthuis, got 17th place out of 40 teams!!! This is an awesome accomplishment competing against much bigger schools and this is St John's highest placement ever in a state meet race -- great job boys!! Mark Reinhart got a 35th place in the 4th and under boys and John Reinhart got 6th place in the state Middle School race! Thanks, St John, for all the great support of your running team this year!!
