Fun was had by all at the annual barn dance! Thanks to all the volunteers who made the night so much fun!
6th grade Epic of Gilgamesh Play
Principal's Corner
Greetings,
The "Barn Dance/Movie Night" at Bossy Barn was definitely the place to be on Saturday. There were a lot of great costumes, games, and the 8th grade did a phenomenal job with the haunted house. Also, the cross county and soccer teams finished their seasons on Saturday. Thank you to the volunteers for providing our students a chance to participate in sports programs and fun events such as the Barn Dance. Activities like this really help to make our school a special place.
The students have worked very hard during the first quarter. The results of fall MAP testing show all our classes doing a great job. This week we will be having parent- teacher conferences. This is a great time to visit with the teachers about your child's progress. Lastly, please join me in wishing good luck to Elliot Moavero and Ava Hernandez as they compete in the diocesan spelling bee this week.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell

Cross Country Update - State Championship!! The St John CC team finally got to run in some classic, cool autumn weather, and it was just in time for the Meet of Champions, the state championships, this past Saturday!! This is the massive meet that is the climax of our running season, and our kids responded great and ran like the champions they are! Each of these races had 350-450 kids in them, and almost every other school in these races are much bigger than us! Many runners set PERSONAL BESTS -- this is the time of the season that you want to run your best! These folks included Taylor Crump, Griffin Hughes, Raeburn Taylor, Matt Drummond, Alex Mayer, Aidan Lopez, David Reinhart, Dominic Bilotta, Grace Hommrich, Erin Luckett, and Kristin Drummond! SEASON BEST performances were put in by Kylie Hargrave and Maddie Blankenship! TOP 50 performances were achieved by John Reinhart (6th), Preston Luckett (18th), Erin Luckett (20th), and Dominic Bilotta (31st)!! The 4th and Under Boys (including Preston, River Clark, Mark Reinhart, Coen Noble, Ben Mayer, Raeburn, Griffin, and Cade Howell) finished 26th out of 46 teams! The Middle School boys finished 35th out of 57 teams! We are losing 5 excellent runners to graduation this year: Erin Luckett, Grace Hommrich, Kylie Hargrave, Aidan Lopez, and Matt Drummond!! Between them, they have 26 running years on the St John CC team!! We will miss their skill and leadership . . . . . thanks for all you have done!
