Notes From the Office: October 26th, 2020

Greetings,

It was an exciting weekend. First, on Saturday night we had our raffle drawing. Unfortunately, I did not win. However, the raffle raised about $30,000! I would like to thank Nancy Sebring, Chuck Comer, and the others who helped make this raffle a great success.

Secondly, we had "trunk or treat" at Cardome. Despite the cold weather, it was a great success. There were many fantastic costumes, wonderfully decorated trunks/cars, and plenty of candy. I enjoyed seeing everyone having a fun time. Thank you to Emily Walters and Saints In Action for putting this wonderful event together for the kids!

As we finish up October and head into November, SJS will continue to emphasize our "Healthy at School" policies. Please help us by making sure your children get plenty of rest, and come to school on time ready to learn!

St. John School is a great place to grow spiritually and academically. Thank you for all your support!

Picture retake day will be Monday, November 2nd at 8 AM.  All students must wear their school uniform for picture retakes.  Please email the school office at [email protected] if your child needs to have picture retakes.  We need to know how many students to pull on this day.

Dress Code Reminders!

Beginning November 1st, shorts will not be allowed until April 1st.  Please click here to review the uniform policy.  Remember that students are not allowed to wear sweatshirts or jackets in class unless they are St. John School logoed.

Trump Administration Extends Free Meals for Kids for Entire School Year!!!

“The family, is so to speak, the domestic church.” (Lumen Gentium #11)

We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Good Shepherd to bring CHRIST IN MY HOME Ministry to SSFJ!  Each week, a short video (no more than 10 minutes!) will be sent via email and posted on our SSFJ website. The videos will help you prepare for the following week's Gospel along with practical ideas for building your "domestic church".   It is our hope that you will set aside a time  to view the video as a family and invite Christ in to your everyday living!

Videos and discussion questions will be emailed out on Sunday afternoons and posted on the SSFJ Facebook Page & the SSFJ Website.
