REMINDER THAT TODAY is the last day that shorts are allowed as part of the dress code until Spring (April 1st). Please help your students next week transition to our winter dress code.
I hope that you had a chance to enjoy the Trunk or Treat and the Fall Fest on Saturday. The events were a huge success based on attendance and all the comments that were received. I want to thank all the members of the school and parish community that pitched in to sell the Raffle tickets and helped with the event or the setup and breakdown. Most of all, though, I want to thank Tiffany Cox for her tireless efforts in making the event a success and a benefit to our school! She and Nancy Sebring kept the raffle ticket sales on track, and Tiffany spearheaded getting our vendors, activities, and volunteers involved, along with numerous other tasks that no one sees to make the events successful. I know that Tiffany appreciated the support from the school and parish families, the Parish Council members, Chuck Comer (last year’s festival chair), and members of SIA. The financial success will be reported once all the numbers are totaled; it was a very good night!
Congratulations to the raffle winners (drawn on Saturday night)! Coleen Rice - $10,000; Boydie Huffman - $4,000: Andrew Costello - $1,000
The food drive last Friday to support the Amen House was a great success too. We were able to collect a couple hundred pounds of food to add to the parish’s weekend drive. Thank you for supporting such a worthy cause.
Tomorrow is All Saints Day, which is a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church. You are invited to attend our school Mass at 8:30 am in the Cardome Chapel. Mass will also be held at St. John Church at 5:30 pm (English) and 7:00 pm (Spanish).
Peace,
Mr. Mayer
