Congratulations to our Knights of Columbus poster contest winners!
Principal's Corner
Greetings,
St. John School has been a busy place this January. The students have been working hard in the classroom and on their MAP Testing. The basketball teams won some thrillers this weekend and it was so good to see so many of our students participating in the Knights of Columbus free throw contest.
Ss. Francis and John will be hosting Catholic@ The Capital, at our church, on Saturday, January 24th from 12pm-2pm. Please join us to learn more about important issues such as , abolishing the death penalty, school choice, restoration of voting rights and informed consent. It is very important for us as Catholics to be informed and understand our traditional stand on public policy and exercise our citizenship of this great nation.
We have some exciting and important events coming up. Catholic Schools Week starts with a kick off Mass at 9:00 am on Sunday, January 25th. Any student attending and wearing their school Mass uniform will receive a free jean pass. Please attend and show your support for our school! There will be special activities for the students all week to celebrate St. John Catholic School. Then, January 31st is our Gala. This is a very important fundraising event for our parish and school. Please join us for an evening of good food and fun for a very worthwhile cause.
God bless and take care,
Dan Mardell
